If you were permanantly transported into one of these books, which would you pick?

Me gustan libros
I read because I love it. I love the characters and I love feeling what they're going through and learning something from their experiences. Reading has always been more than just an escape for me--it's like an entire film playing in my brain that I enjoy for days--and then it leaves it's fingerprints on my memory for years to come. It's also incredible when you get some really big point from a book, other than just reading it for fun, because authors take the time to teach you something important and you should listen. Reading is for everyone, and while people may say that they hate to read, they really don't. If that was true, well.. I would like to see them try not to read anything for a week and see how they survive. A good book will always give you a second chance, or a third…or however many chances you need to understand. You can read and enjoy its story one day and again 50 years later if you like. I read for all these reasons, as well as that I just think that you can't learn everything from people. People can be very complicated and can make you feel small, and while they share your happiness with you, they can also let you down. It's not like I'm not anti-social, heck I barely have time to read these days. But I make time. Because books are wonderful friends that will almost always be "free" on a Friday night (haha) and will entertain and enrich your mind. They'll make you sharp. So yeah…that’s why I read.

I really like how you worded this: "it's like an entire film playing in my brain that I enjoy for days--and then it leaves it's fingerprints on my memory for years to come."
ReplyDeleteI also like the idea of books giving you a second or third chance--I've had that experience often. Sometimes I'm just not ready or in the right frame of mind to read certain books, but they wait.
Fun post.
Books have always been an escape from my real life problems and boredom
ReplyDeletei really like how you said a book will give you a second chance. that's so deep.
